Drake, 44, of Taberg, passed away July 1, 2007, at University Hospital in Syracuse, with her loving family at her side. She was born on September 9, 1962, in Rome, the daughter of Fremont and Shirley Bacon Waterman, Sr. She attended Rome schools. On January 11, 1980, she married Bernard (Bernie) Drake, Sr. She was employed by Rite Aid Distribution Center for several years. She enjoyed stamping with her three special friends, Cathy Thorpe, Barb Cutler and Deb Waterman. Surviving besides her husband, are her mother and step-father, Shirley and Stan Jaynes, Rome; one daughter, Amy Drake, Cleveland; one son, Bernard Drake, Jr., Rome; one sister and brother-in-law, Lauri and Ken Tennant, Taberg; three brothers, Fremont Waterman, Jr.; Rome, Tory Waterman, Taberg; and Mark and MaryAnn Waterman, Ithaca; two very special and cherished granddaughters, Katelyn and Emily; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Friday, July 6, 2007, at 10:30 AM. Interment at Lee State Road Cemetery.
