Name: Jane Fraver Marsland Reid Date of Death: Wednesday, March 16, 2005 Residence: Rome Age: 88 Obituary:Jane Fraver Marsland Reid Jane Fraver Marsland Reid of 1507 Roser Terrace, a former English teacher at Rome Free Academy died March 16, 2005 at Rome Memorial Hospital. Born in Rome on April 27, 1916, who was the daughter of Frank and Anna Murphy Fraver. A graduate of Rome Free Academy and Syracuse University, where she was a member of Theta Phi Alpha Sorority, Mrs. Reid did graduate work at Syracuse University and SUNY Oswego. In 1941 she was married to John N. Marsland who died in action in World War II on November 27, 1943. On August 22, 1947 she married Dr. Edward K. Reid. He died on June 11, 1985. Mrs. Reid was a member of St. Paul's Church, Rome Retired Teacher Association, former member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Maple Twig and Wednesday Morning Club. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James D. (Ellen) Box, Guilderland; a son James E. (Linda)Reid,Syracuse;a granddaughter, Karalyn Box and four grandsons, Kevin Box and Edward, Griffin and Andrew Reid. Funeral will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Saturday 10:15A.M. and St. Paul's Church 11:00A.M. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday 9:00A.M. to 10:15A.M.
