Obituary:Howard S. Kirk, 86, of 4838 State Rt. 365, Oneida, New York, died Thursday, March 17, 2005 in Stonehedge Nursing Home. He was born March 12, 1919 in West Leyden, New York the son of Leo and Hattie Bartlett Kirk. Mr. Kirk was educated in West Leyden. On January 1, 1948 he married Leta M. Dust in Westmoreland. Howard owned and operated Kirk's Used Cars and Parts for over forty years. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Diana Bynum, Columbus, Ohio; one son, Gary Kirk, Oneida; one sister, Gearlene Crippen, one brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Connie Kirk, all of Rome; one grandson, Joseph Bynun, several nieces, nephews and cousins Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Monday 11:30A.M. Interment Rathbunville Cemetery, Town of Verona. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 2:00P.M. to 4:00P.M. (only) Contributions may be made in Howard's memory to a charity of ones choice.
