Underwood, 74, of Church St., Taberg, died July 4, 2005 at her home after a brief illness. She was born July 29, 1930, in Rome, the daughter of Edward and Alice Affolter Wilson. She was educated in Rome schools. On March 18, 1950, she married Kenneth Underwood in Newport, NY. He died June 15, 1976. Violet worked at Oneida Molding Plastics for several years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Violet is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Betsy and Theodore Murphy, Taberg, and Patricia and Dale Casterella, Taberg; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Michelle, Westdale, Glenn and Jeanne, Taberg, Jimmy, Taberg, and Timmy, Floyd; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Charlotte Williams, Dodgeville, Leona and Victor Amato, Rome, and Eleanor and Jack Griffiths, Stokes; three brothers, Tug Wilson, Verona, Tink Wilson, Mississippi, and Tommy Wilson, Taberg; twenty-eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Heim, and three brothers, Edward, Everett, and Gerald. Graveside services will be held on Friday at TBA at Evergreen Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
