Schrader, 70, of Ritchie Road, Stittville, died June 23, 2005, at her residence after a long illness. She was born June 27, 1934, in Rome, the daughter of Clifford and Ruth Van Vechten Johnson. She was educated in Rome schools and graduated from Utica State School of Nursing. On April 23, 1955, she married Billy H. Schrader in Rome. He died February 2, 1979. Golda was employed at Rome Nursing Home for several years, retiring in 1986. She had previously worked at the Eastern Star Nursing Home in Oriskany. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward, Ilion, and Michael and Carolyn, Pittsburgh, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Chris and Malcolm Tilton, McConnellsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Karen Johnson, Niskayuna; and her special longtime companion, Maynard Krug. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1pm at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment will take place in Townsend Cemetery, Stittville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6pm. Contributions in Golda's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
