George St., Rome, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009, at her residence. She was born on February 11, 1908, in Rome, the daughter of Thomas and Sara Puglis Stevens. She attended Rome schools. On October 28, 1977, she was united in marriage to Weston G. Smith, in Westernville. Mr. Smith passed away on February 20, 1998. Nancy was employed by Spargo Wire for over forty years, retiring in 1973. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Ava Dorfman Senior Citizen Center and the South Rome Senior Citizen Center. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Stevens, Josephine Campanaro, and Rose Barber; and two brothers, Albert Stevens and Thomas Stevens. Services: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, at 11:00 AM where the Rev. Philip A. Hearn will officiate.
