She was born October 3, 1931 in Rome the daughter of Sanford and Mary Quinn Goetz. Therese was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. She was employed by Rome Savings Bank for several years, retiring in 1994, and previously was employed by Oneida National Bank. Therese was an active member of St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center and it's Women's Club where she also served as a former treasurer, she also was a member of the Lee Senior Citizens and South Rome Senior Citzens. Therese always enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and found true joy in reading a new book or playing a game with her great-nephew, Connor. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Helen Anson, Baldwinsvile; two nieces and their spouses, Cheri and Dave Combs, Rome; Karen and Jeff LaPiana, Charlotte, North Carolina; a nephew and his spouse, Tom and Jean Anson, Liverpool; and a brother-in-law, Bob Fitchard, Palm Coast, Florida. Services: Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Oneida. Friends may call at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome, Wednesday, 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
