(Waterman) Blanchard, 56, of 5th Avenue, Sylvan Beach, New York died Friday, October 17, 2008 in University Hospital, Syracuse after a long illness. She was born February 8, 1952 in Rome the daughter of Albert and Mabel Lamb Sawyer. Darlene was a graduate of Camden Central School. On April 14, 2007 she married Dean H. Blanchard in Sylvan Beach. She was employed by the Central New York DDSO for several years retiring this past July. Darlene was a self employed Hairdresser, owning the Looking Good Boutique, Camden and later owned and operated the Sylvan Styles in Sylvan Beach. She also taught Cosmetology at Utica Institute in Rome for eight years. Darlene was a member of the Sylvan Beach American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving besides her husband, Dean, are two daughters and a son-in-law, Jonna and Christopher Wright, Rome; Amanda Pritchard and her significant other, Angel Morales, Camden; one son, Shelden Waterman and his significant other, Melinda Carey, Camden; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Norene and Roger Norton, Whitesboro; Francine Waterman, Rome; Corrine Sawyer, Munnsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Louis (Jay) and Brenda Brown, Blossvale, six grandchildren, Vannesa, Shawn, Mia, Adrieonna, Areionna, Timmy and her special canine friend, Max. Services: Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:30A.M. at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden. Interment McConnellsville Cemetery.
