McAdams, 91, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Rome, died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Berkshire of Castleton Assisted Living, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born January 29, 1915 in Rockland, Massachusetts the daughter of Frank and Mary Stetson McCaw. Mrs. McAdams was a graduate of Rockland High School and Peter Bent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing, Boston. In 1991 she received a Bachelor's Degree in Science Education at St. Joseph's College, North Windham, Maine. On December 29, 1945 she married George F. McAdams in New York City. Who predeceased her in 1990. Mrs. McAdams was employed at the VA Hospital in Bronx, New York where she met her husband, George. She also was employed by Rose Hospital,Rome and Utica College and after her retirement in 1973 she was employed by the City of Rome School System as a substitute school nurse. While in Rome she was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center and its Women's Club and was very active in the Rome Community Theatre. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Robert Sorbera, Indianapolis, Indiana; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and June McAdams, Berkeley, California; one sister, Elizabeth McCaw, Abington, Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Jessica McCarthy, Indianapolis; Jedediah McAdams, Berkeley and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Friday 9:15A.M. and St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center 10:00A.M. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Rockland. Friends may call at the funeral home 2:00P.M. to 5:00P.M. Thursday. Services: Calling hours Thursday 2-5pm Funeral Friday 9:15am at the funeral home and 10am at St. Joseph's Church in Lee Center
