Obituary:Rosanna Myers Martin, 87,of 4711 Belfast Drive, New Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Rome, died Monday, May 30, 2005 at her home in New Port Richey, Florida after a brief illness. She was born June 27, 1917 in Rome, New York the daughter of Peter J. and Ida Mary Bael Myers. Mrs. Martin graduated as the Salutatorian of the Academy of Holy Names, Class of 1935. On May 7, 1945 she married Carlton F. Martin in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. He died February 11, 1996. Mrs. Martin has resided in Florida since 1983. While in Rome, she was co-owner and bookkeeper at Camroden Heights Golf and Country Club. She also worked as a bookkeeper at Myer Brother's Lumber Company in Rome. Mrs. Martin was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society, Prayer Group, Lector, and Ecumenical Minister in New Port Richey. While in Rome, she was a member St. Paul's Church, Regina Sorority; and was an avid golfer. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carlene and Larry Dunn, Flowery Branch,Georgia; Mary Stagliano, Scotia, NY, Joyce and Kevin O'Connell, Fishkill, NY; a sister, Catherine Freson, North Bay, NY; eight grandchildren Stephanie Ralston, Louisville, Kentucky Jason Dunn, Roswell, Georgia; Jessica (Dunn) Nelson, Sugar Land, Texas; Bethany and Mark Stagliano, New Rochelle, New York; Eric, Michael and Kelly O'Connell, Fishkill and four great-grandchildren, Charles and Madeline Dunn, Roswell, Georgia and Ethan and Bailey Ralston, Louisville, Kentucky.; A Mass of the Christian Burial was held Wednesday, June 1 at Our Lady Queen of Peace, New Port Richey. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 4, at St. Paul's Church, Rome at 11:00A.M. Interment Westernville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M Contributions may be made in Rosanna's memory to the Rosary Altar Society of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 5340 High Street, New Port Richey, Florida 34652.
