Dear Lil, we were very saddened to hear of Did''s passing. We have many memories of the days when the "Hartwick" nurses and their spouses gathered on a Saturday evening for a progressive dinner party. Remember the New years Eve party at your house when Did got a call for a tow job? Did, Leo and Loring went together in the truck and the girls decided to go out on the town? Those were fun days that will always stay in our fondest memories. Our love and prayers will always be with you and your family. With love, Ethel & Loring

Dear Lil and Family, It is with great sadness that I write this. Leo and I have been out of town and only now learned of Did''s passing. Our friendship goes back so many years, from our first day at Hartwick College and our beginnings as US Cadet Nurses. We have shared so many of those days with yours and Did''s courtship and marriage, the arrival of your children, so many happy days. Our prayers and love go out to you. Words can not express how very much our hearts hurt from your great loss. Much love to you and your wonderful family.

Please accept my condolences... Did and Doug treated myself and my late Grandmother Mary Johnson very fairly. He has pulled me out of the ditch more than once too... probably because I was with Danny LaSalle.

Mrs. Lillian Jones and family, Long ago I was an LPN student of Mrs. Jones and experienced a wonderful teacher that I have remembered over the years. Her "Did" was always a part of her wonderful litany of stories and lessons learned. The loss of your wonderful husband and father must leave a huge hole in your hearts, but even from my very minor part in the lives of the Jones family;.Did left a huge trunk of smiles and wonderful memories. Please accept this as a small jester of caring from someone that never forgot your impact on me. I’m the Linda whose wedding you came to in 1967. I’m still nursing and just returned from a tour in Iraq. You Did well with me. Linda Moore LTC, AN AR-MEDCOM Linda.Moore2@us.army.mil

To the Jones family, Please accept our condolences at this most difficult time. We have many fond memories of "Did". I recall going to the garage with my Dad as a child and, even at that young age, thinking what a nice man he was. Then, as a young driver, I had to call him more than once to get my truck out of a ditch somewhere- but I knew I was in good hands when that yellow tow truck pulled up! I still remember when it came time to settle up on the towing bill, he wouldn''t take any money, he would just say " drop off a case of Genesee sometime...." I can also remember my late father, Ron, always speaking fondly of him. He truly was a great man and he will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace. Dan and Heidi LaSalle
