Name: Irene Patricia Michik Jeroszko Date of Death: Sunday, July 06, 2008 Residence: Rome, NY Age: 89 Obituary: Irene Patricia Michik Jeroszko, 89 years old, of Rome, NY, the daughter of Martha and Paul Michik. Irene, who was born on April 27, 1919, in Springfield, Illinois, succumbed to a short illness at Rome Memorial Hospital on July 6, 2008. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy in Rome. On August 26, 1944, she was united in marriage to John C. Jeroszko. Mr. Jeroszko passed away in 1994. She was a life member of St. Paul's Church in Rome, New York. Surviving are one sister, Ann Donlon, of Texas; three sons and daughters-in-laws, Ronald A. Jeroszko and his wife, Sandra, of Hebron, Connecticut, David J. Jeroszko and his wife, Elaine, of Brockport, New York, and Lawrence G. Jeroszko and his wife, Tracey, of Lee Center, New York; four grandchildren, Eric Jeroszko and his wife, Pamela, Lance Jeroszko and his wife, Shannon, Brian Jeroszko and his wife, Pamela, all of Connecticut, Stephen Jeroszko, of New York; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob, John, Jordan, Katelyn, and Meghan Jeroszko, all of Connecticut. She has many nieces and nephews in the Michik and Jeroszko families. Irene was predeceased by seven siblings, Mary, Peter, John, Helen, Charles, Michael, and Frances. She enjoyed her children, gardening, telling her stories, and jokes. She was our mother, teacher, and advisor of life who will be missed dearly. Irene's family wishes to express a special thank you to Cousin Tammy and Aunt Bea for all the help and loving care they provided to Irene. The family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses, especially Darlene, Donna, Kris, and Lori at Rome Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 9:15 AM and a Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church where the Rev. Robert L. Kelly will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
