Halupka, 81, of Mill St., Northwestern, New York, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 30, 2008. She was born November 16, 1926 in Taberg the daughter of Joseph and Anna Horbacz Wojtus. Mrs. Halupka was a graduate of Camden Central High School. On August 6, 1949, she married John Halupka. Mrs. Halupka was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base for twenty-three years retiring in 1987. She was a member of Transfiguration Church. Surviving besides her loving husband; are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Anne Beckett, Phoenix, Arizona; Janet and Mike Keller, Gig Harbor, Washington; Barbara and Alan Smolinski, with whom she resided; Donna and Michael Pratt, Lee Center; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jennie Wojtus, Central Square; Irene and Myron Lape, Hastings, New York; Elizabeth and John Wilk, Mexico, New York; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Roxanne Green and Beverly Lusky. Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome Tuesday at 9:15A.M. and Transfiguration Church at 10:00A.M.
