She was born October 15, 1918, in Herkimer, NY, the daughter of James and Ellen Sheehan Corcoran. She was a graduate of Camden High School. In 1947, Helen married Fred Miller. He died in 1954. Helen worked for several years at the Westdale Liquor Store. She was a member of the South Rome Senior Citizens. She is survived by a niece, Joann and Bob Whitmoyer, Oneida; and three nephews, Bill and Haven Waters, Arkansas, Jerry and Jeanne Waters, Connecticut, and Jim and Susan Waters, Texas; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Rodney Waters, Oneida . Helen was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Waters, brother, Gerald Corcoran, and a special friend of 30 years, Francis Jones. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30pm at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome and St. Mary's Church at 2pm. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Taberg. Friends may call the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
