Smith, 65, of 7706 Old Floyd Road, Rome, New York, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care, New Hartford. She was born May 11, 1943 in Schenectady, New York the daughter of Edward and Mary Clancy Johnson. Karleen was a graduate of Linton High School, Schenectady. On November 5, 1989 she married Frank Smith in Whitesboro. She was employed at Masonic Home for several years. Surviving besides her devoted husband, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Tom Pedersen, Whitesboro; Christine and Paul Puleo, Syracuse and five grandchildren,Nicholas, Anthony, Karlee, Megan and Ally. Karleen's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Luke's Home Barton East and Faxton-St. Luke's Heathcare 3 West for the wonderful care she received during her illness. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady. There are no calling hours.
