Williamson, 90, of Rome, died April 4, 2006 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born February 18, 1916 in the Town of Bath, the daughter of Bert and Flora Van Heusen Holmes. Elizabeth married Vincent Williamson. He died in 1953. Elizabeth's family would like to thank the staff on 2 North at Rome Hospital and the staff on Wing 3 at Stonehedge Nursing Home, especially Vicki and Terri, for the kindness and compassion shown to her during her illness. She is survived by five daughters and a son-in-law, Alberta Beaudion, Syracuse, Betty Pitzher, Pennsylvania, Rose Tennant, Rome, Linda Wright, West Virginia, and Carol and Pete Jaegers, Rome; four sons, Hiran Williamson, Ohio, Eddie Brower, Rome, Carl Williamson, Illinois, and Johnny Williamson, Rome; a sister, Heartha Hewitt, Rome; a brother, Leonard Holmes, Rome; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend, Brenda Patnode. She was predeceased by two daughters, Marjorie Burdick and Mary Szablewski; and two sons, James and George Williamson. Calling hours will be held on Friday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment will take place in Alder Creek Cemetery. Services: Calling hours Fri. 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
