Name: Wava M. Buckley Date of Death: Sunday, May 29, 2005 Residence: Blossvale NY Age: 71 Obituary:Beloved wife and mother, Wava M. Buckley, 71, of Kimball Road, Blossvale, died May 29, 2005 at home after a long illness. She was born March 9, 1934, in Rome, the daughter of Eugene and Myrtle Yager Smith. She was educated in Utica schools. On November 18, 1980, she married Frederick (John) Buckley in Rome. Wava worked at the Dunlop Tire Corporation for several years, retiring in 1985. She also volunteered at the Rome Humane Society. Surviving besides her husband, are one daughter, Donna Walker, Blossvale; a sister, Thelma Crane, Pompeii, NY; sister-in-law, Betty Smith, Taberg; four grandchildren, Robert Hoyt and his fiancé Christina Dolhun, William Walker, Stephanie and Bruce Becraft, and Vincent Urgan; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Benjamin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Benjamin Urgan, and two brothers, Milton and Eugene Smith. Wava's family would like to express their gratitude to special friends Roxy Emrick, Joe and Sharon Hynes for the care and compassion shown to her during her illness. Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Route 13, Camden, on Thursday at 11:30am. Interment will take place in McConnellsville Cemetery.
