Obituary:Emma A. Mickel, 87, of Camden, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 in Oneida Healthcare Center after being stricken at home. She was born December 27, 1921, in Camden, the daughter of James and Anna Fenton Mickel. Emma was a graduate of Camden Central School and Faxton School of Nursing, Class of 1943.
Ms. Mickel was the head nurse in the Operating Room in Oneida Healthcare Center for several years before retiring and taking over the family farm in Camden.
Emma is survived by several cousins and her beloved dog, Buddy.
Services: Graveside services will be held in the spring in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In keeping with Ms. Mickel's wishes, there are no calling hours.
