Chestnut St., Rome, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Bethany Gardens. She was born in Leicester, England, the daughter of Andrew and Ellen Hewett Lang. Freda was united in marriage to Clifford J. Williams, in St. Peter's Church. Mr. Williams passed away on December 29, 1992. Mrs. Williams was a member of St. Paul's Church. Surviving are a niece, Andrea and James Janda, of Pleasant Prairie, WI; a nephew, Clifford Lang, of Red Wing, MN; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Lang, of Zion, IL, and Agnes Williams, of Toms River, NJ; special friends, Helen Cannan, Ginny Craiglow, and Joanne Rosenburgh; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great great-nieces, and great great-nephews.. Freda was predeceased by her twin brother, Andrew E. P. Lang. Services: A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on on Monday, January 19, 2009, at 1:30 PM at St. Paul's Church where the Rev. Robert Kelly will officiate. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made in Freda's memory to St. Paul's Church Memorial Fund, 1807 Bedford St., Rome, New York 13440.
