Name: Wiiliam S. Kelly Date of Death: Saturday, March 25, 2006 Residence: Rome NY Age: 80 Obituary:William S. Kelly, 80, of Rome, died Saturday March 25, 2006 in St. Luke's Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 8, 1925 in West Point, NY, the son of James and Esther Madigan Kelly. He was a 1942 graduate of Highland Falls High School and a 1957 graduate of Syracuse University. On May 30, 1944 he married Miriam R. Gilmore in West Point, NY. She passed away November 21, 1971. Mr. Kelly worked at the Rome Air Development Center for 33 years, retiring in 1976. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. William is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy Miller, Watertown, and Joan and Michael Grande, Chittenango; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janice Gilmore; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Rapp, and a brother, James Kelly. Graveside services for family and friends will be held at the Townsend Cemetery in Stittville, NY later in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Services: Graveside services will take place in the spring at Townsend Cemetery in Stittville, NY
