Kapsho,78, formerly of Vernon, New York, died Saturday, January 3, 2009, in Rome Nursing Home, Rome after a long illness. She was born May 30, 1930, in Westmoreland, the daughter of Theodore and Magdalene Kanas Kyrnitszke. Alice was a graduate of Westmoreland High School. On October 27, 1951, she married Peter Kapsho. He died April 25, 1996. Mrs. Kapsho owned and operated a dairy farm with her husband for over thirty-five years. She was a member of the St. Michael Greek Catholic Church. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Alan Bernard, Boca Raton, Florida; two sons, James Kapsho, Florence, Kentucky, Robert Kapsho,Canastota; two sisters , Ann Besock, Rome; Anastasia Kapsho, Sherman Oaks, California, and two grand-children, Michael and Sarah Bernard. She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Kyrnitszke. Services: Funeral will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome, Wednesday 2:00P.M. Interment Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4:00P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday. A Parastas service will be held Tuesday evening 6:30P.M.
