Name: Stella A. Kaszmarski Date of Death: Tuesday, December 23, 2008 Residence: Rome, New York Age: 94 Obituary: Stella A. Kaszmarski, 94, of 800 W. Chestnut St., formerly of Middle Rd., Rome, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at Bethany Gardens. She was born on July 7, 1914, in Rome, the daughter of Stanley and Marcella Zajac Kaszmarski. Stella attended Rome schools, and for ninety years resided in the Town of Floyd Ms. Kaszmarski was employed by Marcy Psychiatric Center for over twenty years, retiring in 1979. She was previously employed by General Cable for over twenty-five years. Stella was a member of Transfiguration Church and their Altar Rosary Society, the Christ Child Society, the Polish Home, the South Rome Senior Citizen Center, and Grange. Surviving is a nephew, John Matusz, of Waterbury, VT; a niece, Catherine Matusz, of Rome; and four great-nephews, John W. Matusz, of New Jersey, Stanley Matusz, Jr., of Rochester, David Matusz, of White Plains, and Brian Matusz, of New York City. She was predeceased by two sisters, Sophie Luberda on September 22, 1992, and Mary Matusz on April 4, 2004; and a very special nephew, Stanley Matusz on October 31, 1994. Services: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008, at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, at 10:00 AM and a Mass of the Christian Burial at Transfiguration Church at 10:30 AM where the Rev. Mark A. Pasik will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
