Fitzpatrick, 61, of Sylvan Beach, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 8, 2008. She was born July 22, 1947, in Buffalo, the daughter of Edmund and Rosemary Murray Fitzpatrick. She was united in marriage to Dennis Thompson. He predeceased her. Holly worked for over 25 years for the New York State Department of Corrections at Mohawk Correctional Facility. Holly was also known as a star, winning countless numbers of trophies skating for Western New York Speed Skating Club. In 1964 to 1966, she won consecutive Gold Junior Olympic Medals in Speed Skating. She is survived by a brother, Timothy (Denise) Fitzpatrick, of Buffalo; a sister, Roselle (Gerald) Murphy, of West Seneca, NY; a step-daughter, Barbara Thompson; sister-in-law, Eileen Fitzpatrick, of Florida; a beloved canine companion, Yankee; and several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. Holly was predeceased by a brother, Terrence Fitzpatrick. Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008, at 7pm at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden.
