It was a blessing to know Rita. The mold was thrown away for good when Rita was born. She was full of life and zeal for living. She was brilliant and advocated for herself and when she couldn't, her family stepped in. She was much loved and so elegant, a class act, one of a kind that can not be forgotten. I will miss her so but Jehovah will remember her and resurrect her (John 5:28,29). To Rita 's family: it's been an honor and a privilege to know Rita. Love Susan Thornton

As Rita Allen's son, I'm heartbroken, but I feel strength coming from the Almighty. I'm keeping my words short, I will grieve privately and intensely, but I want all those who attempted to contact me about my dearly departed Mom to know I appreciate their considerate and substantial efforts to reach out, and for them to know that although we may be apart, they'll never be far from my heart, broken as it is by this major event, in all the lives my mother Rita touched.
