Obituary of LouAnne J. Roser
LouAnne Jeanette “Speedy” Roser, 80, of Oriskany, NY, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister, passed away peacefully at home with family after a short battle with cancer on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Born May 27, 1944, in Syracuse, NY, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Vermitte. On December 15, 1962, she was united in marriage to Earl L. Roser, Jr. in Rome, NY.
LouAnne retired from the Oriskany School District with over 35 years in cafeteria service, in addition to being a bus monitor for students with special needs, which she truly loved doing.
Her greatest treasures were her family and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed camping, visiting with friends and family and going to the casino.
Surviving besides her loving husband of 62 years, Earl, are two sons, Earl F. Roser (Jame) and Duane Roser (Janet); two daughters, Elizabeth Green (Douglas) and Juanita Whitton (Scott); eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; a sister, Pamela Lenaghen (Lou); several nieces, nephews and all of her friends in Oriskany and Sebring Fall (FL) Mobile Park. She was predeceased by three sisters, three brothers, a grandson, and several in-laws.
LouAnne’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her sister, Pamela; nieces, Bonnie and Angie; along with the many nurses from Hospice and Palliative Care of New Hartford for the heart-warming care they gave her and her family throughout her last days.
Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N.
