Obituary of Gail Littler

Gail Littler, 81, of Rome, passed away October 4,2024. She was born on December 2, 1942, in Utica, NY to John and Stephanie Yaworski. Gail attended Oriskany Central School and graduated with honors in 1960.

She spent over 30 years working for the Oneida County Department of Social Services. After retiring she was a great caregiver to both her parents and husband Laverne. She loved to travel, enjoyed music and was an avid sport fan.

Gail is survived by a loving family: her brother John and sister-in-law Mary K Yaworski; son and daughter-in-law Ed and Eunae Blake; grandchildren Eddie and his wife Rachel Blake; Alaina, husband Brandon and great-grandchild Quinn Williams; daughter Dawn and husband Nick Korba; grandchildren Nick Jr, wife Sarah, great-granddaughter Madeline and Gemma Korba; Christina, wife Kim and great-grandchild Calvin Korba; granddaughter Emily Littler; daughter Denise and husband Gary Gregory; son Laverne D Littler, daughter-in-law Joann, special person Maryann Salvati, grandson Ryan Littler, grandson Trevor and wife Brittany Littler, granddaughter Leann Littler-Woolf and husband Bryan Woolf and great-grandson Baxton Woolf.

Gail was predeceased by her husband Laverne A. Littler, her parents John and Stephanie Yaworski and daughter Diane Littler

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s fund, a cause important to the family.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at the Vineyard Memory Community and Traditions Hospice for care and attention to Gail while in their care.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 22^nd,  from 10:00 a.m. to  12:00 p.m.  at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome,  with interment immediately following at the Rome Cemetery.
