Obituary of Donna Ruth Behlin

Donna Ruth Behlin, 69, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Rome Health. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on November 17, 1954, a daughter of the late Eutsey and Mildred (Hodges) Behlin.

Donna Ruth was an active member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church and the choir.  Known to everyone as “Auntie”, she was always the life of the party and loved to sing, dance and entertain.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Behlin and Reginald Behlin; nieces and nephews, Tyrone Cowell, Sr. (Angela), Dwayne Cowell, Natalia Cowell, Tyrone Cowell Jr., Alyssa McLean, Theodore “TJ” Behlin, Jr., Rasaleen Cowell, Anthony Pickard, Keyana Reppard, Avianna Brooklyn Cowell, Candice Matthews, Dominique Matthews, Angelo Stephens, Antonio Stephens, Theodore Behlin III, and Rayleen and Bryson Watson; special friends, Greg, “Shorty”, Tee, Aunt Renee, Aunt Diane, Frank, and all who loved her in the Rome community. She was predeceased by a sister, Elaine Cowell; a brother, Theodore “Teddy” Behlin; and niece, Tanisha Matthews.

Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440, on Monday, September 30^th from 4-6:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1^st at Mount Calvary Baptist Church., followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place in St. John’s Cemetery.
