Obituary of Deborah L. Coonrod

Deborah L. Coonrod, 71, of Rome passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024. She was born March 22, 1953 in Rome. The daughter of Ward and Mary Mehl Yourdon Sr. On July 12, 1974 she married Clayton Coonrod Jr. They celebrated their 50th anniversary this year.

She was a loving and devoted stay at home mom, she loved to spend time with her family, her children and grandchildren. Deborah is survived by her children and their spouses, Krystal and Jason Coonrod, John Coonrod, Clayton and Melanie Coonrod III, Wendy Redner and her girlfriend Cheri Ott all of Rome, Gloria and Ronnie Fox of Westernville and a son-in-law Andrew Redner and two grandsons that she helped raise Clayton Coonrod IV and Micheal Coonrod and 17 other grandchildren Isaiah, Abigail, Cordell, Patricia, Savanah, Sara, Sonya, Salena, Hannah, Austin, Alayanah, Summer, Chyann, John, Ronnie Jr, Cody, Alysha and many great grandchildren. Also she is survived by her two sisters and one brother-in-law Gloria Washburn of TX, Valerie and Kevin Schmadel of Oriskany, and one brother and sister-in-law Ward and Marianne Yourdon of TX. She is predeceased by one sister Mary Anne Clark.

To honor Deborah‘s final wishes there will not be any services. The family will be having a celebration of life at her  son’s house on Sunday from two till whenever.
