Obituary of Victoria J. Marcy

Victoria J. Marcy of Floyd, NY passed away on the evening of Monday the 19^th of August 2024. She departed peacefully surrounded by family members.

She retired from Madison-Oneida BOCES as a network technician. She also worked with the Town of Floyd into retirement. As well as being exemplary in her work, she also really enjoyed working and found it to be therapeutic.

She loved traveling to see her children and grandchildren, and often took the scenic routes as much as possible. She was also an avid reader and always seemed to be starting a new book.

Tough beginnings made her a tougher person. She found herself moving multiple times, which sparked her desire to have a place to call her own. Victoria was extremely proud of home ownership. It helped provide a sense of identity and freedom.

Victoria was predeceased by her partner James Marks. She is survived by her three children and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home , Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440, on Saturday, August 31^st at 11:00 a.m.
