Obituary of Linda M. Lince
Linda M. Lince, 77, of Rome, passed away on August 14, 2024, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica. She was born in Rome on July 24, 1947, a daughter of the late Sydney and Wilma (Edick) Walters. She was a graduate of Westmoreland High School and on August 28, 1965, she was united in marriage to Howard Lince, Sr. He passed away on August 13, 2021.
Linda was known for canning tomatoes and making her jellies. She loved to crochet afghans for family and friends. She was an avid writer and authored a book, “Sarah’s Garden”, which was published.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Leonora and Alan Hazlewood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Jr. and Jennifer Lince and Michael and Carla Lince; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Bob Jock and Crystal Myers; six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Sydney Walters.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
