Please accept my condolences and deepest sympathy. I became good friends with Dave back in the 90's when we were both involved in the Union and worked at Griffiss AFB. He was a great guy, a good friend and pleasure to be around. He always had that smile and will be terribly missed, may he rest RIP

There are so many memories of Dave that I will cherish forever. His jokes, though often corny, were unforgettable, and I still don’t know how he managed to remember them all. I recall the fun times we had at my sister’s campsite, especially when they would make bets on which log he was going to burn.
One of my most grateful moments with Dave was when he stepped up and helped organize Heath’s benefit. The golf tournament we hosted for many years became something he looked forward to every year, and his compassion for it were truly inspiring. I will always be grateful for his dedication.
Most importantly, I am forever thankful for our wonderful son,Jon. I know Dave is incredibly proud of his three children and his grandchildren. To his nieces and nephews, he will always be Uncle Dave, and his presence in our lives will be deeply missed.

Dave lived, loved and laughed. He gave so much of himself to his family, extended family and friends. We are so lucky to have had him in our lives and will always remember him fondly. Because of Daves vision of a golf tournament, Heaths memory will live on for years. We were able to create a mutual fund that will pay out scholarships in is name for years to come. A gift that will keep on giving. We are so deeply sad at Daves passing and love the legacy that he left behind. May he rest in peace

February 8th, 2018 is a memory with my dad that makes me smile constantly.
It’s the Eagles-Patriots Super Bowl and my dad and I have been texting all game.
He calls me for the last 2 minutes of the game right when the Eagles get a strip sack. Even though we were almost 200 miles apart, we were celebrating together like we were in the same room.
Although I’m sad he’s gone, I’m grateful to have so many memories like this that will live with me forever.

I will always cherish Dave partying on Jon’s graduation night. We stumbled into a bar and karaoke was going. Dave did not hesitate to take the mic and sing Frank Sinatra! The whole bar perked up. After Dave was done, the bartender put on another frank song and handed the mic back over to Dave.

Dave and I took wood shop when we were in 8th grade. This entailed walking up Woodland Ave. from Memorial School to the Pitman High School. One nice day Dave had a large piece of construction paper which he fashioned into a giant paper airplane. A school bus with a bunch of girls was passing us and Dave launched his paper airplane towards the bus. Being a nice day the windows were open on the bus. The plane entered the bus flew through the bus and exited the opposite side through another open window. I can still hear the girls screaming with delight and amazement! Fun with Dave! RIP my friend.

Haha. That's a great story. I can't wait to tell my kids. He loved planes. He would like to take us to air shows and talk all about the planes. The air force was def in his future :). And walking to high school I bet created many opportunities for fun behavior. Lol. Thanks again and I appreciate you sharing.

We can't thank you enough. I'm glad you shared that. We will laugh about thinking of him yelling at the TV as he did many at my house as well. Lol. He loved his favorite teams and it showed. And I know he appreciated your support always. Thanks again

We sat in your chair,
drank the rest of your beers,
shared many stories,
and had a few cheers.
We were told the hotdogs will continue to roll, even your story,
of the great "Eagle" hole.
Thank you Dave J,
we enjoyed your cool Bar'age,
I know why dad enjoyed it,
like being at a golf lodge.
You will be missed,
said friends like Rennie,
but never forgotten,
and loved by so many.
Your smile will guide our way,
whenever we feel bad or have a bad day.
We still hear you when you talk,
in our sleep or on a long walk.
Just know your advice was always cherished,
which is why your voice,
will never parish.
See you again someday,
but for now,
you'll still be in our hearts,
each and every day.
And just like you taught us,
we'll continue to stand tall,
each time we may fall,
Just know,
We Love you Dad,
from us all....
