Aside from my own father, George was BAR NONE the greatest man I've ever met. As soon as he walked into a room you knew he was there. His smile was infectious and it made even the worst of days better. Not only was his smile infectious, but you couldn't help but feel he truly meant it when you would ask him how he was doing in he responded back with a "BBBEEEAAAUUUTTTIIIFFFUUULLLL". I knew George before I really met his childeren, having him as a sunday school teacher 20+ years ago. He wasn't as much a teacher, but a story teller and a guidance councelor. It was not for a couple of years later that I really got to know Rick and Russ. When you raise such great kids, you know you did something right. I am a better person today for having known him, albeit for a short time. I'm not an overly religious man, but I know that George is somewhere telling a story and making someones day a little better.

George was in the same graduating class as I. Due to the fact that I moved to Rome area after getting out of the Air Force, I lost touch for several years. Recently, we met up again at our class reunions. George will be missed by everyone who came in contact with him. May God rest his soul, and comfort those he left behind.
