Adsit, Sr., 63, of Marcy, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 24, 1945, in Rome, the birth son of Albert Adsit. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Lester and Julia Heburn Lamphier. He attended Rome schools. He was the owner and operator of Adsit Trucking in Marcy for several years. Harvey was very active in the 157th Regiment Civil War Reenactments throughout the area. Surviving besides his significant other, Susan Leskovar, are four daughters, Pam Adsit and her significant other, William Smith, of Rome, Julia Salsburg, of Marcy, Victoria Adsit and her significant other, Adam Russell, and Katherine Foster, all of Rome; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Harvey and LeAnn Adsit, II., of Oklahoma; Erin and Clarissa Adsit, Kenny Adsit, all of Rome, and Ashley Foster, of Oneida; four step-children, David Holeck, Jr., of Camden, Richard Holeck and his wife, Michelle, Angela Holeck, and Amy Holeck, all of Rome; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Judith Adsit, of New London; thirty grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, George Adsit. Services: Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Monday, October 27, 2008, at 7:00 PM. where the Rev. William Mudge will officiate. Interment will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery in Taberg.
