Rt. 2, Orwell, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare following a brief illness. She was born on October 24, 1929, in Redfield, the daughter of Everett and Viola Simpson Balcom. She was a graduate of Sandy Creek High School. On February 16, 1951, she was united in marriage to Harlan Hall in Redfield. Mr. Hall passed away in 1987. Boots was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a bartender for over forty years for several area taverns. She was also a dairy farmer in Redfield. She was a member of the Williamstown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Boots was an avid pitch player and loved country music. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Arlie and Howard Corday, of Charlton, MA, Sarah and Tom Clerkin, of Syracuse, IN, and Kate and Paul Bartlett, of Redfield; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Carney and Virginia Hall, of Florence, Daniel and Christine Hall, of Redfield, Jon and Theresa Hall, of Norwich, and Bill Hall, of Marathon, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Elaine Balcom, of Nashua, NH; fifteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services: Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 St. Rt. 13, Camden, on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Salmon River Cemetery in Osceola. Family and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
