Murfit, 63, of 7345 Ritchie Road, Stittville, New York, died Friday, September 12, 2008, at her residence. She was born November 1, 1944 in Rome the daughter of William and Shirley Beemen Egan. Donna was a graduate of Oriskany High School the class of 1963. On August 30, 1969, she married Francis Murfit in St. Mary's Church. Surviving besides her husband, Francis, are two daughters, Linda Smith, Blossvale; Kathy Murfit, Rome; one sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Tom Delaney, Rome; two grandchildren, Nicole and Tyler, two nieces, Heather and Derek Force, Shannon Delaney and a cousin, Ann Kullmann. In addition Donna is survived by special friends, Rose and Paul Burbidge, Sharon and Michael Bassett and Evelyn Seaton and her daughter, Brenda. Donna's family wishes to express a sincere thank you to the Visiting Nurses Association, especially Dee and Kathy Gray, Dr. Sultana Razia and Dr. Anthony Contronea for their wonderful care and compassion shown to her. Services: Funeral will be held Monday 9:45AM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome and St. Mary's Church 10:30AM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
