Obituary of Michael DeCarlo
Michael DeCarlo, 60, of North Bay, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on Friday, October 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. On December 24, 2003, he was united in marriage to Monica Collins.
Mike worked for several years at Oneida Limited and Sherrill Manufacturing. Outside of his family, his greatest love was music.

He was predeceased by his father, Cosmo.
Mike’s family would like to thank Jeannie Day and Amy Uvanni for everything they have done throughout his 26-month battle with cancer; the nurses who helped him with his treatments; the nurses at Oneida Health and Hospice and Palliative Care; Joe Lumia and all of Mike’s friends who visited him and helped his family, including Gary Lohr, Skip Talbot, Scott and Tammy Smith, Chris Helt, Susie Murphy and Jeannie and Amy; and Dr. James Vanderhoof for his honesty with Mike and his family.
A little bird broke his wing---
He struggled for 26 months to fly, walk, eat---
As time went on he got weaker and weaker---
Then the biggest storm of all took all the beautiful songs he used to
sing when he flew through the clouds and soared above---
I can still hear his beautiful songs of love and life in my head and in my heart---
He is now in soaring in Heaven, no more broken wing---
No more hurting and struggling---
Never to forget my little bird.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc, 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden NY 13316.
