Obituary of David W. Patnode

David W. Patnode, 83, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Abraham House in Rome. Born in Albany on August 28, 1940, he was a son of the late Dorothy Patnode. On April 1, 1977, he was united in marriage to Nancy Slattery. She passed away May 6, 2019. 

Dave worked for Ocuto Blacktop for many years before retiring in 2008.

Dave was a devoted husband and took great care of his wife during her lengthy illness. He loved to be in the crowd to watch his grandchildren perform in the various athletic endeavors.

Dave is survived by two children, Dawn Puleo (James Virginia) and Robert Foley (Diane); and seven beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Nadia and Lily Foley, Gianna, Gabriella and Nicholas Puleo and Ella Virginia.

In keeping with his wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dave’s memory to the Abraham House of Rome, 417 N. Washington St., Rome NY 13440.
