After leaving the USAirforce in 1957 Bill Knudsen worked for General Electric in Syracuse and soon after purchased Ferguson Auto Electric Company in Rome, New York where he built a forty-five year old family business as the region's first John Deere dealership, Knudsen and Sons John Deere. He was the founding partner of BNK (Bentley Nobis Knudsen) Trucking Company in 1962, which still operates business today. Later Bill Knudsen and Sons established the Central NY area's first new and used automobile broker business, Knudsen Auto Brokers, operated today by Bill's son Tom Knudsen. The Knudsen family would like to express their deep gratitude for the professional care and assistance provided by the staff at Rome Hospital, particularly the extraordinary compassion provided by the third floor extended care nursing staff.
