Obituary of Douglas W. Rocker

Douglas W. Rocker, 64, of Blossvale, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Born in Rome on August 22, 1959, he was a son of Carlton “Jake” and Jean (Wilson) Rocker. He was a graduate of Camden High School and on September 22, 1979, he was united in marriage to Diane Bird. She passed away June 19, 2018.

Doug was an electrician at Bartell Machinery in Rome for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt, fish and camp. He lived life to its fullest, surrounded by family and friends.

Doug is survived by his father, Jake Rocker; his son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Elizabeth Rocker; two sisters, Louann Cox (Drew) and Patty Roth; one brother, Richard Rocker; two cherished grandsons, Colton and Garet; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his two dogs, Lucy and Rocket. He was predeceased by his mother, Jean Rocker.
