Obituary of Bernadette C. Ouellette

Bernadette C. “Bernie” Ouellette, 62, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. She was born on June 4, 1961 in  Worcester, MA, a daughter of the late Frank and Gloria (Gordon) Grybowski. She enlisted in the United States Air Force on February 13, 1984 and served until being Honorably Discharged on March 1, 1989. On April 15, 1988, she was united in marriage to Martin Ouellette.

Bernie worked for several years at Met Life in the claims department.

Surviving besides her loving husband, Marty, are two daughters, Heather Miroff and Audrey Weston; three sons, Luke Grybowski (Nikki), Brian Ouellette and Matthew Ouellette; five sisters, Rita Grybowski, Cathy Grybowski, Gloria Lusignan, Liz Wozniak (Paul) and Mandy Archer (Gary); two brothers, Joseph Grybowski (Aurora) and Peter Grybowski (Tessa); fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Steven.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 23^rd at 12:00 p.m.. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, NY 13440. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
