Obituary: Rendall A. "Coop" Cooper, 72, William Street, Rome, died February 26, 2007, with his loving family at his side at Bethany Gardens, after a long illness. He was born June 21, 1934 in Brooklyn, MD, a son of Arthur and Dorothea Hansen Cooper. He was educated in Baltimore schools.
Mr. Cooper worked for Rite Aid Distribution Center for 22 years. He served in the US Air Force for over 20 years, during both the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict. Coop was a former member of the Henry P. Smith Post, American Legion.
Surviving are one beloved daughter, Jennifer Sheets, Rome; two stepsons, five step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William Cooper and his ex-wife and friend, Barbara Sheets.
Coop's family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Parker and the staff at Rome Hospital and also the staff at Bethany Gardens, especially Jane, Rita, Tiara, Gloria, Cheri and Laurie, for the wonderful care and compassion shown to him during his long illness.
Services: Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
