(Griff) Parry, Jr., 88, of Denton, Texas, formerly of Rome, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 in Vintage Nursing Home, Denton after a long illness. He was born July 8, 1918 in Rome the daughter of Griffith and Margaret Ross Parry, Sr. Mr. Parry was educated in Rome. On January 25, 1940 he married Betty Wayne Gerrard. She died November 8, 1975. Mr. Parry was employed by B.S. McCarey for over twenty-five years and later was a self-employed carpenter. While in Rome he was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Paul Sharpe, Clearwater, Fl.; Suzzane and Robert Smith, Denton, TX; one son, Gerrard Parry, Sauquoit; two sisters, Gladys Windish and Rita Young, both of Florida; one brother, William Parry, Rome; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Liz Chiluffo, Margaret Cadrette, Gloria Grieco, Vernie Candill and brothers, Al Parry, Rob Parry and Edward Parry. Services: Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc.,Saturday TBA. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. Friday.
