In October of 1929, Leda left Italy accompanied by her mother and sisters, Clara and Wanda, and joined their father, Oreste and brother, Celestino, in the United States. The family established residence in the Fordham section of the Bronx, NYC. On April 3, 1948, she was united in marriage to Anthony P. Leda was a member of the Palm Twig for thirty-seven years, serving as a volunteer at the Rome Memorial Hospital Snack Bar and other fund producing activities. Musical theater was another passion, which she enjoyed tremendously. In past years, she appeared in several off Broadway musicals in New York and also made her appearance in the local theater.
