Name: Anna M. Sancomb Date of Death: Monday, April 18, 2005 Residence: Rome, NY Age: 73 Obituary:Anna M. Sancomb, 73, of State Route 69, Rome, died April 18, 2005, at her home after a long illness. She was born June 2, 1931, in Morris Forks, NY, the daughter of Leon and Clara Barton. She was educated in Rome schools. Anna worked for several years at the Waterville Knitting Company and later worked at Wal-Mart. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. She was also a member and past president of the Western American Legion #1846 Ladies Auxiliary. Anna is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Clara (Snookie) and John Carl, Malone, NY, and Brenda and Brian Engel, Utica; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Theresa Sancomb, Boonville, and Bruce and Lois Sancomb, Boonville; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Jennie Graveline, Northwestern; a sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and James Fuerst, Barneveld; a loving companion, Richard Popielarczyk, Rome; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and two beloved cats, Corky and Pumpkin. She was predeceased by a daughter, Francine. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:15am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, and 10am at St. Mary's Church. Interment will take place in Holland Patent Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Contributions in Anna's name may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., or a charity of your choice. Services: Funeral services 9:15am Thurs. at funeral home and 10am at St. Mary's Church Calling hours Wed. 2-4pm and 7-9pm
