Riolo, 73, of Rome, died March 31, 2007 at home with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was born November 24, 1933, in Utica, the daughter of Thomas and Ida Mae Owens Brennan. She was educated in Utica and Rome schools. On July 14, 1951, she married Lawrence L. (Larry) Riolo, Sr. in Rome. Alice was a member of St. Peter's Church. Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce Riolo, of Manassas, VA, and Sheilah and Greg Ciotti, of Oneida; a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence (Larry) Jr. and Rita, of Rome; a sister, Rosemary Kaczmarek, of Syracuse; nine grandchildren, Lawrence (Larry) III and Michelle Jackson, Erica and Todd Riolo-Hammon, Maryrose, T. Brennan, Jenna, Patrick, Armando, Alessandra, and Andre'; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Seth, and Grace; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Alice was predeceased by four sisters and five brothers. Alice's family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., Dr. Nicoletta Tallindini and Dr. Ajay Goel, for the care and compassion shown to her during her time of need. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, and 9:30am at St. Peter's Church. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7pm. Contributions in Alice's memory may be made to the Neighborhood Center of Utica, Inc., 615 Mary St., Utica, NY 13501.
