Richard, the son of Jesse and Alice Beckwith, was born on May 11, 1939 in Rome, New York. He married his true love, Anna "Jeanie" Metarskie on March 8, 1958. They share a love and a bond that transcends time. They resided at 215 East Thomas Street. He is survived by his wife Jeanie, and his four children; Richard E. Beckwith Jr., Glenda Guerrieri, Lauri Feole and Michele Twomey. "Pop" will be dearly missed by his five grandchildren: Trista Twomey, Michael Guerrieri, Marissa Feole, Brittany Beckwith and Alaina Guerrieri. He is also survived by eight sisters and 3 brothers. He will also be missed by his "casino buddy", Ziggy. He was a devoted, loving son to his Mother-in-law, Mildred Metarskie, who resided with them until her passing in November 2006. Richard was a loving, caring Husband and Soul-Mate, a proud, devoted Father and a simply wonderful Grandfather. Richard was a highly skilled carpenter, craftsman and contractor. He worked as such until he retired two years ago. Richard truly loved his work. He had a gift - he could envision and build to absolute perfection. He was the perfect combination of pride and talent. He was a true inspiration to his family. There are no words for the grief his family feels. We have lost our love, our mentor, our guide, our teacher, our friend, our hero. He has touched our lives and our hearts and will live in us forever. We will be strong because of him. We will go on, deeply saddened at our catastrophic loss, but we will go on. We will continue to make him smile, make him laugh, and, hopefully, make him proud. With more love than there is in this world, we love you. Forever.
