Name: Donald J. Hodierne Date of Death: Friday, November 17, 2006 Residence: Lutz, FL Age: 45 Obituary:Donald James Hodierne, 45, of Lutz, FL, passed unexpectedly on November17, 2006 at his home. He was born November 20, 1960 in Rome, NY, the son of James and Margaret (Peggy) Thomas Hodierne and grandson of Elizabeth Hodierne, Rome, NY. Don graduated from Chamberlain High School, Tampa, FL in 1978 and Fayetteville State University where he received an AA Degree. While serving in the US Army from 1981 to 1995 he earned several commendations as a 190th Calvary Scout, Drill Instructor and 82nd Airborne Paratrooper. After an honorable discharge he settled in Lutz, FL near Tampa, and was currently employed as the Director of Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Marketing at the Tampa Heart Center. He is survived by a daughter Kathryn Hodierne, a son and daughter in law David and Ashley Hodierne , precious grandchildren Nevaeh Hodierne, unborn David M. Hodierne Jr. and Brittany Boone all of Land O' Lakes, FL. Also surviving, a sister Diane (Hodierne) Kurek a brother and sister in law David and Martha Hodierne all of Land O' Lakes, FL, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and several cousins in Wales, United Kingdom. Funeral services will be held at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home 418 N. George St. Rome, NY on Wednesday, November 22 at 11am. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Contributions in Donald's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
