Carnot, 79, formerly of Georgian Arms Apartments, died January 28, 2006 at Betsy Ross Nursing Facility after a long illness. Ms. Carnot was born March 15, 1926 in New York City, the daughter of Manual and Emilia Guillen Carnot. She attended New York City schools. She worked for the New York State Housing Authority in New York City and later for the City of Rome as a Senior Aide. Sylvia was a member of St. Mary's Church. Surviving is one daughter, Silvia Caro, Rome; three grandchildren, Kim of Canastota, Lauren, Rome, Raymond and Paula, Rome; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Gwendolynn and Ramon. Memorial services will be held at St. Mary's Church on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. There are no calling hours. Contributions in Sylvia's memory may be made to St. Mary's Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements by the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N., George St., Rome, NY. Services: No Calling hours. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Church at 1pm on Wednesday.
