Page Date of Death: Sunday, July 30, 2006 Residence: Rome NY Age: 75 Obituary:James Richard (Dick) Page, 75, of 700 Elm Street, Rome died Friday, June 30, 2006 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born August 9, 1930 in Rome the son of Joseph and Mary Colangelo Page. Dick was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On September 28, 1979 he married Virginia (Ginny) Smith in Rome. Dick was employed by the United States Post office for over thirty-five years retiring in 1986. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Page was a member of St. Peter's Church. Dick was an avid golfer and loved to compete with his many friends. Surviving besides his wife are one sister, Rose Mary Lawrence, Buffalo; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Doris Page, Rome; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. A memorial mass will be held at St. Peter's Church Wednesday 9:00A.M. . Interment St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made in Dick's memory to St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements by the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome. Services: A memorial mass will be held at St. Peter's Church Wednesday 9:00A.M. . Interment St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
