"Corky" Fox, 73, of Rome, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at University Hospital in Syracuse. He was born on August 15, 1933, in Rome, the son of William and Mabel Loomis Fox. He was educated in Redfield. Corky served in the US Air Force. He was a truck driver for Veteran's Carthage Trucking in Ohio. He was an avid racecar driver and golfer for over forty years. Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Michelle Fox, Harrison, ME; two grandchildren, Nicole and Colby; five sisters and five brothers-in-law, Zada and Bill Bauer, Canastota, Delma and Herb Geddes, Worcester, MA, Carol and Robert Steward, Helena, AR, Sharon and Calvin Davis, Syracuse, and Sue and James Barrett, Pigeon Gorge, TN; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dennis and Sandra Fox, Lake Worth, FL, and Larry Fox, Pigeon Forge, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Corky was predeceased by three brothers Clessen, Donald, and Eugene. Services: Graveside services will be held Friday, May 18, 2007, at McConnellsville Cemetery at 3PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
